Our Lady of Sorrows Parish School of Religion -
Family Honor Program

The mission of Family Honor, a national Catholic non-profit organization, is to create opportunities and provide tools for parents and children to connect and communicate on important life issues, with a special focus on chastity and God's gift of sexuality.  For over 20 years, Family Honor teams of men and women - made up largely of moms and dads who share your struggles and challenges - have provided hope and practical help for families on topics that are important to them in today's culture.

In the 22 years since Family Honor, Inc. was established, the organization has grown to fill the many needs expressed by parents, decision-makers in faith communities, adolescents, young adults, and many other adults who want to do something positive in their own community.
In addition to family-centered programming and a college-level course for those who are interested in becoming chastity presenters, we also are now able to offer a wider variety of educational resources than ever before.
It is only through the willingness of good people to become involved that we are able to do all these things. We welcome you to our site, and encourage you to drop us a line with feedback, an order for materials, or just to say hello. We'd love to hear from you!
In August of 2001, Family Honor, Inc. was given approbation by The Most Reverend Robert J. Baker, former Bishop of Charleston (and now Bishop of the Diocese of Birmingham, Alabama). This designation recognizes Family Honor as a Catholic organization in the Diocese of Charleston.
In his letter providing this recognition, Bishop Baker stated: "It is my hope that following the theology of the body, as explained by His Holiness Pope John Paul II, Family Honor will lead people, especially the youth of our diocese, closer to Christ and prepare them for a happy adulthood."
