About Us
Suzanne Corso, the Director of Religious Education, is a native of Birmingham. She has a BS degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She taught 5th and 6th grades for 13 years for Jefferson County Board of Education. She facilitated Children's Liturgy of the Word, taught PSR, taught and directed Vacation Bible School at St. Peter the Apostle Church. She is also a Girl Scout Leader and volunteers at her childrens' school. She and her husband, John who were married at Our Lady of Sorrows 13 years ago live in Vestavia Hills with their two children, Andrew (11) , and Elizabeth (9).
Christina Wright, the Administrative Assistant, has been part of the of the Our Lady of Sorrows family for several years. She graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham with a BS degree in Elementary Education. She taught fourth and fifth grade at Our Lady of Sorrows School up until a couple of years ago. She decided to seek part-time employment so that she could spend more time with her children, Jacob and Isabella. She received twelve years of Catholic education and has been involved with the ministry of the Catholic Faith her whole life.
